The quick and the dead would find a very nice place in my home if it were available

I SAW THIS ART WORK IN BREWERY IN COLORADO SPRING, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE PRICE ON IT. THANK YOU

  4. phil says:

The brewery does own that painting already, as a matter of fact.

Phil, I am the proud owner of 3 of your painting. My first and favorite is The Quick and Dead. Problem: My painting does not have the “shooter” included as the painting. Why not?

  6. phil says:

Hi Gary! I’m glad to hear from you! The reason for the missing shooter is because this picture is of an original version I did as a commission. I later painted a 2nd version to send to an Arts Center show out in Texas, with some minor revisions which included removing the shooter. I thought the narrative spoke for itself as a moment in time, without the second figure which seemed like a redundancy in the statement. I believe yours also has a red sash, which I felt was a compositional improvement — and added a little extra color. I hope you’re still enjoying that painting, I remember when we shipped it out to you!
